Fat Joe - Slow Down (ft. Jeezy)

Rest assured this will be the rare occasion if not the only occasion I will post material related to Fat Joe, (unless it's about his kick game or if he's in a White Castle hamburger eating contest).

This fat n*gga took far too long with this release. Joint had a serious buzz approx a month ago (thank you Jeezy)

Funny how time flies...

Vado's On The Spot Freestyle

This clip is from DJ Green Lantern’s Sirius Invasion show this past Monday, with guests Jadakiss (there promoting The Champ Is Here 3, out May 1st,) Cam’ron & DJ Drama (Boss Of All Bosses 2.5 drops next week.)

Vado's got next.
If you aren't familiar, look up Large On The Streets.
Real Rap.

It Must Be Wednesday...

It was a weird day.
I woke up early.
There was breakfast left for me.
I didn’t get surprised by a random ten or twenty dollar bill in my pocket.
Perhaps I had been robbed.
Odd.
I turned on the television while eating, as I had time to spare.
I saw RZA refereeing for some whiteboys, reminded me of DMX in that video back in the days.
Saw Lil’ Jon giving tennis lessons, dressed up, no cup.
Just when I thought the "Twilight" madness had subsided, I find a band called Vampire Weekend.
It was a weird day.

Carly Carol in Jamaica with Sizzla - WWW.CREATIVECONTROL.TV from Creative Control on Vimeo.

Forever interested in the exploits of one Damon Dash, here he is in Jamaica, riding around with the reggae artist Sizzla, from his Damon Dash Music Group Imprint.
I put this on everything, I will find what frames Dame has on at the 2:18 mark, with intentions to swaggerjack.
Yea, I said it.

Behind The Scenes of The Super High Video

I am awaiting this for real.
This track is flames, & with F. Gary Gray of Jay-Z's "Show Me What You Got" & feature film directing fame behind the visuals, it is sure to not disappoint.
The Harley's look right, but Stacey Dash looks better.

What I Want, "More or Less..."

What am I gonna do?
I'm not gonna hate or throw dirt on Moses Leviy's name.
Naw, I'm not entirely pleased with his releases of late, but lets celebrate what Shyne Po blessed us with before he came out & made our ears bleed with freestyle after freestyle.
Sure, dude may have good reason for not wanting to go back to who he was, but cot damn, I want another Commission outta this n*gga, More or Less...

"its like NY been soft ever since my n*gga Shyne been sitting in prison..."

Throwback Thursday: Is It Really Mine?

It should be mine...
...but before I make this world my b*tch; I must sift throught the bullshit, shake off the doubt, & focus my energy.
Where I am?
It's hard. It requires out-of-the-box thinking.
The way I've been programmed since birth? Impossible.
My thoughts, wants & needs were not my own. They were instilled in me. No refund or exchange.
Oppose? They dared me to.
I can't deal with kiss a$ses.
I haven't reluctantly puckered up for a$s since my mother's sperm donor (my Father) left for The Sh!tty City.
Where I am now, I adamantly refuse. I don't respect bosses that barely respect themselves, whoring their laughter & fraudulent positivity out to whoever gives them some false hope of further benefits.
Constant change?
Yea, I understand that's life.
Where I am?
It's dictated by balding white collar goons sporting size 46 waists, alligator suitcases & lunch breaks at Lakeview Golf Course.
Today, Morton told me I don't belong here. Jacobs said the same shortly after.
Comfort is one thing, but when I see light a mile away at the end, but destruction & despair within arms reach, I'm working on not being discouraged. I'm teaching myself to persevere.
The measure of a man is not how he conducts himself when things are rosey, but how he reacts when his back is against the wall.
I'm willing to die against the wall. Not limp & hopeless, but defiant & driven.
However, if it is really mine... I won't have to.

"Born alone, die alone,
no crew to keep my crown or throne
I'm deep by sound alone,
Caved inside in a thousand miles from home
I need a new n*gga, for this black cloud to follow,
Cause while it's over me it's too dark to see tomorrow..."

My Mind Spray.

Diddy Apologizes To The Competition.

I love this.
The epitome of copping a squat on your competition & letting them know, "F*ck You".
I'm all for it.

Big fan of these guys ever since I seen them perform live at Revival a year or 2 back. Between this and "So Damn Down" I'm satisfied with "Brooklynati" releases.

Cam'ron & Jim Jones Reconcile?

Knowing that The Diplomats heavily effected my early millenium, I been wondering when something like this would happen. Cam & The Dips set hip hop on fire when they came on board Roc-a-fella's starfleet.
People gettin' money often equals people getting ignant.
Cam got $$ with The Roc, got ignant about songs being used by the Boss.
Jim got $$ with The Dips, got ignant about playing his position, & supported Mr. Divide-&-Conquer-Your-Crew, 50 Cent. They both had this to say:
Jim Jones said: “It’s 2010, and this is something I gotta get off my chest…You’ve known us from back when we didn’t have what we have now, so you remember, that above all, me and Cam, we still brothers. And we’re building on getting back on track but first, I apologize for being a rude brother, for saying things publicly without first trying to handle them privately. I apologize for not leading by example because what I didn’t realize at the time, I was venting but it wasn’t all about me. There were other people whose dreams were also part of this movement. So by not leading by example, they were left stranded too. The way I handled our business issues was with emotion, and it got totally f–ked up. That’s what selfishness does….”

Cam’ron: “There’s nothing really Diplomats-related to show you yet. We all have our own obligations right now, our own projects. I have this Boss of All Bosses Pt. 2.5 mixtape with Vado and DJ Drama dropping soon. But yes, me and Jim have been speaking, we’re working out the mechanics of this, and looking at our options right now. If it makes sense, it can happen.”

LOL @ "If it makes sense". If it's profitable is what he means. I don't know why he's considering it, Cam & Vado have sh*t ON LOCK. They are building a cult following. If i were him, I'd keep it moving. Then again I'm not the most forgiving.
Let me be brief here... Jimmy did the ultimate snake move and cosorted with the enemy, while still saying DipSet 4 Life.
While doing so, he alienated the underbosses making them choose sides.
While doing so he was siding with Dame Dash and ironically talking about Jay-Z's disloyalty.
While doing so, he ironically made songs called "Frienemies".

I can't respect that, and I can't respect Jimmy. I can't respect you if you respect Jimmy. In summation, my dude from RealTalkNY said it best:
Home of Philly Says:
April 20th, 2010 at 12:04 am
Yo f*ck Jenny Jones Snake ass!!! I f*cks wit Killa & Vado seems like a good piece to the puzzle but like 50 said, “Enemies stay enemies but friends they change”. This n*gga got too big for his britches and thought he was a boss but in the end he albums flopped he label flopped, and the money must be getting low so now he trying to make nice… f*ck that nigga… I hate disloyal ass mothaf*ckas"

Lets say they do reconcile...Uhhh...where does this leave Juelz?

Throwback Thursday: You Wont Believe It...

My dude Strong reminded me of the atrocious track that was released by none other than Project Pat featuring Three 6 Mafia. The song title is exactly what you would expect from these dudes, with visuals to match. After hearing the chorus repeated about 6 to 8 times, there really is nothing to this track.

That thang is JUICY.

Nas + Kelis = Nas Catching Multiple "L"s

So the court proceedings have apparently come to a close, and according to documents filed in L.A. County Superior Court, upon decision, Nas' payment to Kelis was an imminent $47,249.42 in back child support and $40,454 in back spousal support. That's loss #17 for this dude when it comes to Kelis.
The ever-so-graceful judge also ordered Nasir to pay $10,000/month in spousal support until he pays off the $299,015.50 he owes ol' girl.
On top of that, Mr. Jones has to pay 90% of Kelis’ legal fees, which come to a staggering $155,787.28. Loss #19.
Finally, Nas has to pay $48,549.83 to cover Kelis’ accounting expenses. He wouldn't the first of God's sons to get crucified. This time the only way it saves us all, is by us learning from his mistakes.
Speaking of the lil homie Nas' mistakes, we continuously hear about how much she is raping him for; but never about how much Nas is actually worth. We also dont hear about what he did to have the judge side in her favour, besides the fact she's a woman with a child from this union.
I'm not going to profess to know a great deal about marraige/divorce court but damn, seems a little harsh.
Time to remove the Kelis tattoo on the arm? Maybe so Nas...maybe so.

Music Monday: Drake - "Over"

Behold, the first single off the album now scheduled for June; "Thank Me Later", with visuals crafted by Anthony Mandler.
Not a bad video, not an amazing video.
That's the story of Mr. Graham's music videos tho.
Meh, at least he's consistent.
The music more than makes up for the visuals.

UPDATE:
I read this & it's the realest shit I've seen in the last couple weeks. In XXL Magazine current issue, Drake expressed:

For anybody that doesn’t believe in me, your favorite rappers do,” he added. “They call me for hooks, features and all that. Ross, Jeezy, the hardest dudes — B.G. C-Murder calls me from jail. Turk calls me from jail to tell me I’m doing great. For the people that don’t believe, the people that you do believe in got love for me. That’s all that matters.”

Ray Ban vs. Tom Ford

We've all seen the forefront's refamiliarity with RayBan's Wayfarer. A year or two ago I got into them, but when I checked them out, I couldn't get past the angle the lens' have to the arms. Not completely 90 Degree perpendicular, like the top of the lens leans forward. Not only that, the aggressive dip in the nose bridge didn't sit right on me.
Solution? Tom Ford's Jack Sunglasses. Same type concept, but less aggressive cuts & angles. Seen below on my fav Linden Ave. resident, Q-Tip, they look slick, and I'll def be coppin these in the coming weeks.

Cam'ron & Vado - Ric Flair

Got a real love for the music from a street sh*t mentality that gets put out often, but only done right occasionally.
The visuals are real, the beat is fire, & lyrics from Cam & Vado compliment eachother like early millenium Nash & Nowitzki.

So hood, n*ggas faces get blurred out.
Instant Audio Contraband.

Dre Day Happening This Year?

Jimmy Iovine & The Good Doctor had a sit down to talk to CNBC’s Maria Bartiromo about the new “Beats By Dre” headphones, and other impactful factors on the music industry. They touched upon how realistic it is to price these headphones at $350 US in an economy such as the one we currently have found ourselves in.
Jimmy goes on to somewhat save Dre’s a*s during the interview when the tough questions of how & why it would effectively sell to the average consumer, as it’s very apparent Andre Young aint used to speaking about, or pitching any product of his labour. The sh*t usually sells itself. In this case it somehwat has, because they mention how Kobe & Lebron use it, as well as the recent partnership with the Major League Baseball Association. They call it changing the ecosystem of music. Riiiiight.
Most important, at the 6:40 mark they discuss the Detox album, and Mr. Young says that the single will release within the month, and it features Hovito, entitled, “Under Pressure”.
Can they make another “Still D.R.E.” or “Lost One”?
Thoughts on the potential East – West colossal collab?

The Good & Plenty.
Where to start?
I’ll keep it brief.
Comparable to very few, there are only a couple select events of it’s calibre, this Kamakacci Event easily dominated the weekend as top destination.
Fluids flowed from the bar like staff had never seen before, with glass bottles of all brands & sizes copped by dudes like me with Money In My Pocket.
Kamakacci & Talk of Toronto really put it down this Easter Long Weekend, and set the bar for success at Revival.
Doubts? Ask their Management.

Stay tuned for video and pictures.

Maybe on my wrists but I don’t wear it on my teeth,
