I dont knwo what it is. I have this affinity for Brooklyn MCs. They are just DOING IT. From MOP to O.C. to Jean Grae, BootCampClik, AZ,Fabolous, Big Daddy Kane and others (yes, i purposely left out the two best Brooklyn MCs) they are always on some shit. This is one of the most underrated artists of our time, Masta Ace. Give him some time and peep the vid.
You wonder when artists get a chance to express themselves without the backdrop of melody, without the distractions of high hats, 909s and 808 drum patters. When they get a chnace to say what they want, minus inhibitions. I believe I've seen it a few times in my life. From Jim Jones talking about AIDS in his family, to Mos Def protesting, standing on cars outside a major award show. Kanye really goes in depth to the question, and this press conference really allows him to say what he wants, how he wants, for how long he likes. I know, they never should have let him. Through this long ass video, he talks about how he IS Jim Morrison (lol), becoming a singer, how Beyonce is better than Tina Turner and how he's not James Bond. The realest was when he spoke about religion, and being the best Kanye can be, instead of trying to be Jesus. I don't know, it resonated with me. Check that at 11:10. His words are worth the listen. One of my favourite rambles here is at around the 19:45 mark, when they talk about paparazzi.
Ricky Ross Rambles Ridiculously. Couldnt say what prompted me to watch this video, but this is a prime example of an interview gone terribly awry. Don't worry Breazie, when I start interviewing artists, it will not end like this. The interviewer didnt plan out his question sequence right, needless to say it implodes from there. Who heard of a Rick Ross vs 50 Cent beef? Not I. Check the 1:10 mark for the 50 Cent question. Its all downhill from there... Dun know Ross "shits on niggas" LOL. Ross even says "You assuming the beef", & the interviewer (Kevin Tate) says "EXACTLY". Confirming he's asking illegitimate questions. Genius. Another quality ramble is at the 3:50 mark, talking bout mayonnaise sandwiches. Check out 6:00, when he goes off talking about Roscoe's waffles, no underwear, owning 10 Burger Kings and his desire to wear chancletas.
It's been a while since last blog...I'm back like I left something So this guy, Mr. Graham, has been buzzing...naw scratch that...STOMPING around in GTA radio stations & iPods with his brand of infectious metaphors, similies & feature hooks. From the new video about to be released with Page - "I'm Still Fly (remix)" ft. Drake; to the "Drake & Lykkle Li - Little Bit"(audio contraband); he is a Ken Griffey Jr. in his hay on the mic. Allhiphop.com was able to catch up with the Homerun Derby Champ and pitch him a few questions. Take a read at: http://allhiphop.com/stories/features/archive/2008/11/25/20722678.aspx
RAEKWON SINGS FRANKIE BEVERLY from Urban News Network on Vimeo. If you didnt notice, I got mad love for this guy. Not only is he trippin' it down to the 'A' @ Club Dreamz ATL, but he's got everyone swaying on some classics... "Frankie Beverly - Golden Time Of Day" is above, while below he salutes Rick James. Ooohweee...
Raekwon the Chef. The Purple Tape. One of my favourites, when I look at this dude, all I see is the Real. Him & Jada give me that feeling right now, and to me are so similar to me in terms of quality, realness, and raw hunger. Only Built for Cuban Linx...(Niggas) is gonna be one of those albums that should set peoples ears on fire. I don't have any doubts he'll deliver. You hear his footsteps outside? I do.
I'm sure you noticed, there seems to be an inlfux of nuccas runnin' round claiming this set, that set, this & that colour. Red Rags in Harlem? Red Rags in New Orleans? Umm... I'll let you tell it. Can't lie, a couple of these dudes in the video look hella suspect... especially the broke down Mystikal/Money Mike-in-40 years lookin' boy However they more or less confirm what I was thinking, regardless how buss down he look. Weezy & Jim Jones get aired out. Dun know they werent Red Flaggin' when the "Block Was Hot" or when they were telling y'all to "Get Ya Roll On" (that song was hot lol) Sure, Jimmy came out with "Certified Gangsta", a track with Game, & claimed it from the beginning of HIS solo career, but look at footage of him before. Negro Please. Dipset wasnt bangin' Red, they wore PINK. Rassssssssssss.
So a few weeks ago I let you all know about Jennifer Hudson's unfortunate loss, so of course I had to come with the follow up...
The only suspect that they have is the ex-boyfriend of Jennifer's sister who is also the mother to the little boy that was killed.
The only reason he is "locked up" right now is due to a violation of his parole (not attending anger management) and he could be released tomorrow if there is not enough evidence proving his violation.
The only way hes staying locked up is if they find enough evidence to prove he violated or if they "officially" charge him with the murders.
HOWEVER, there are rumors going around that he has been telling his new girlfriend that he was involved in the murders. Not only that, he also stated that he was in the house the morning of the abduction and the two murders.
Will this be enough to keep him locked up and in turn charged??
As you all may know Mr. OJ Simpson got himself in a little bit of trouble in Las Vegas this year when "trying" to get his personal belongings back. OJ, broke into the hotel room where he confronted a memorabilia collector and wanted his things back. OJ and the accused were also accompanied by a gun which lead to 12 counts of criminal charges including kidnapping and armed robbery.
OJ's lawyer stated that one of the jurors was "dismissed from his old job for racial slurs," and was telling reporters that OJ should have gotten life a long time ago for the murder of his wife Nicole.
On Friday, the hopes of these facts opening a new trial were denied leaving OJ and the other accused with possible life sentences.
OJ, OJ, OJ, I wonder if he will have enough money to get out of this one.... ;)

To lighten things up a couple hours prior to the results we are all eagerly awaiting here at Kamakacci, I present to you, The Mighty Mos.
One Half of BlackStar stopped through "Good Magazine" to give insight to what the Red, White & Blue would be like if he were Commander & Chief. His thoguhts & ideas are funny, but also thought provoking... what if there was only 10% tax in America? (thats cheaper than Ontario) What about mandatory community service for celebs making a certain income? Mandatory Health Care? EDUCATION?!?!
Education is a huge deal, as the America's literacy rate for a 1st World Country is pales in comparison to our Eastern Hemisphere counterparts. What does that equal? Vulnerablilty.
National Security would NOT be an issue if more people were well educated, we'd have the smartest people on the planet on the job of defence getting those Theives In The Night
But forget all that, would all American's be entitled to their very own, Government appointed Ms. Fat Booty? My Umi Says, that's change I can believe in.
Maybe we'll know if The Mighty Mos runs come 2012.
Are you ready for what is shaping up to be the biggest day in US history?
Just over 140 years ago Blacks in the United States were slaves awaiting Emancipation.....tomorrow may prove that Barack Obama, a genuine, intelligent, and quite possibly one of the most well spoken politicians of our time, can move people to overcome issues related to race and become the first Black elected president of the USA. Picture it: A Black family in the White House.
I can honestly say I never thought this could happen in my lifetime.
One cannot deny that the state of America's economy has played a significant role in what looks like a Democratic victory....but nonetheless that it has even come this far is certainly a step in the right direction.
The passing of his ailing grandmother yesterday, on the eve of the election is telling I think, before any great person achieves a great victory there is almost always some tragedy that precedes it.
Although I am not an American, I, like many other Canadians, feel a sense of camaraderie with those south of the border. One question I am asking myself is, can Obama deliver on the promise of change that illuminated from his campaign? Can he take the country that has fallen and raise it back up? Time will tell. One thing is for certain, this brings new meaning to that old phrase: The Great White Hope.
Former President Carter touches on something here very lightly that I heard one of the Pundits (Political Experts) mention the other night on CNN that resonated with me. The importance of Senator Obama becoming President Obama is the validation of the statement made to minority youths for years; "You can grow up and be whoever/whatever you want to be." How is that true when you look at America's history and there is a list of 43 strictly White males as President of United States? Be clear, the anticipation for the aforementioned statement's validation is two years in the making and is approximately 24 hours away from fruition. Black youth have something more than a hood star, more than a sports legend, more than a Rap Star to aspire to become. This is huge. Lets treat it accordingly. Obamannisum is almost upon us.
So apparently at "Mervyns" they have bargain bins. Basically, these are bins that have things that have been opened but can still be sold. An employee of Mervyns, clearly couldn't help but spot DMX searching through them this weekend.
Mervyns is going out of business and has everything on sale and it seems as if DMX got the "good" bargains. He was spotted leaving with socks, wife beaters and duds found in the 79 cents bin.
My question is why can't he be like everyone else and get a bargain?
They are quick to put the "rich" on blast for over spending but it looks like they can't go for bargains either...they just can't win!
We all knew this was the case, right? Pleeeease say you knew this. From him saying that Iceberg Slim was the "Hustler Poster Child" & he felt "let down when he sold out to Corporate America"; it was very apparent: This nigga loves him some Jigga. From baiting him, & becoming sickeningly gleeful when Hov jumped on the Fly High (Remix), to his inability to remove Mr. Carter's nuts from his mouth ever since...damn...if you were paying attention, you knew this dude had acquired a taste for some Brooklyn Bozack. One Eyed Willy looks like quite the crooner. You think he's a Contralto, Tenor, or Baritone? I'll let you tell it...
On October 25, Jennifer Hudson was delivered the tragic news that her Mother and brother Jason were the victims of gun violence. She was also informed that, her 7 year old nephew had been abducted from the scene. An amber alert was sent out for the little boy and Jennifer put up $100,000 in hope of a safe return. As of yesterday this amber alert was "called off" as the body of 7 year old Julian King was found. As of today, the only suspect police have in custody is William Balfour, Jennifer's sisters "estranged husband." Our deepest sympathy goes out to Jennifer Hudson at this time.
These new joints came out within the last week I believe, & oooweeee, they kinda sizzling! Y'all dun know when it sizzles it bubbles. Word to Shad. Regardless, my fav are the burgundy jumpoffs, simply cause there is more to like. Nah true? The checker print on the side, the in your face grey toe...need I go on? Check below for some more Saputo Crrrrrrrrrrrack Fat Shouts to www.solecollector.com
Stumbled upon this video from the "D Block General". It's fair to say he's a little late with this offering of audio contraband to THE MOST reused beat in history, but it's worth the listen.
Fat shouts to Jordan Tower Films, http://www.myspace.com/jordantower He's done extensive coverage of Jada, see two of my favourites below:
Above is the video for Jim Jones' verse for Kid Cudi's Day N Nite (Remix). Clearly Jimmy did this video, as he is noted as a director. I agree: that the beat is crack I agree: Jimmy's verse is trash (the beat saves him) I disagree: with putting out a remix to someone else's song and not even hollering at them to be in the damn video.
So my asian homie, Don is the King of All Things Random at my work. All day he sits on the web and finds the most entertaining things to view. Today he didnt disappoint. Check the vid, and make sure you watch 'till the end for the last guy, he's enjoying the ride!
So its official. The public believes that Eminem is the best rapper alive, bar none. He beat out Jay-Z in the final round, to be crowned as Vibe Magazine's best rapper alive with 69% of votes compared to 31% for Iceberg Slim. I voted when this tournament started, which was a few months ago. I don't cosign this crowning, simply cause Emimem gets away with saying some weird sh*t like on his new track "Relapse" he spits "...stick my dick up a mannequins ass"
um... thats not Kosher my dude, not by a long shot.
Holler @ somebody lyrical.

I was breazin' through wepages and found a link to something that I believe every office employee should have the option of having. TREADMILL DESKS. Uncanny. The amount people at my office that are "soft around the sides" would surely benefit... just don't tell them I told you. Peep the vid.
